not a bad Friday

Today I had one student out. One who has consistently been disrupting the class either with aggression or “clowning ” behavior. It’s been non-stop lately. It felt different without him today. Overall the room was calmer for more of the day. Students were working hard through math and most were on task and working hard during literacy. They were all motivated to get to the point store at the end of the day.

That’s not to say we didn’t have challenges. My class looked like a tornado came through at the end of the day. Pencils were broken and thrown around the classroom. Papers were torn up. A book was torn in half, shaving cream was sprayed on a couple of tables and milk was poured on the floor and a table. But overall I finished the day feeling proud of my students. They worked hard today.
